Aunt Nina and Uncle Denny’s house is always an absolutely magical wonderland of celebration, warmth, and love. Every nook and cranny reflects the way they cherish their faith and family. Their home is one of my favorite places to be, especially at Christmas!
I couldn’t believe this was our 5th annual cookie swap this year! Aunt Nina always makes us feel special by setting the table with something fun for each of us. This year’s settings included a pretty little wooden Christmas tree, a pair of Santa earrings, a little pamphlet about Advent, our adorable snowman wine glasses, and a tin of her homemade chocolate fudge!
So sweet and inviting!
We each brought our cookie dough, and take turns baking in the oven. Luckily she has a double-oven so it makes it easier for us to finish our cookies in no time! Mary Lynn made sugar cookies topped with cute little red and green M&M’s, and I made molasses cookies per Tyler’s request.
These are Lauren’s praline-pecan oatmeal cookies! Mom made her famous oatmeal-coconut-chocolate chip cookies.
Before we know it, JoJo will be baking along with us!
Afterwards, we cozied up in the living room and gabbed away until it was late and time to go home… What a sweet and special time, as usual! Can’t wait to all be together again soon on Christmas Day!
